The Hoboken Bag is a “closed loop” reusable canvas bag available at Hoboken businesses.
THIS STATEMENT IS NOT ACCURATE. Closed loop is the closest term I found to describe this, but in fact this is beyond closed loop, perhaps “fully utilized, closed loop” – is there a term that means that?
The reusable bag concept is flawed because as bags accumulate they are eventually discarded: possibly even before the end of their useful life.
A standard size Hoboken Bag (the only one available at launch) sells for $5.00 brand new, $4.00 used (but clean) and be redeemable for $4.00 (store credit OR cash). However: participating stores will give incentives exceeding $4.00 in value, rewarding customers redeeming bags for goods & services. Special offers will be emailed periodically and announced via social media and on the website.
